TCL CSOT has unveiled its latest display technology roadmap at SID Display Week 2026, showcasing a range of pixel-level innovations spanning OLED, LCD, AI-driven display systems and immersive visual technologies.

Its “APEX Pixel” framework is designed to drive advances across multiple display technologies, including FMM OLED, inkjet-printed (IJP) OLED and next-generation LCD panels.

The framework focuses on improving display immersion, efficiency, visual comfort and future interactive capabilities across applications such as home entertainment, mobile devices, automotive displays and extended reality (XR) systems.

Among the key developments is TCL CSOT’s investment in IJP OLED technology, which is expected to expand into the mid-size display segment for the first time. Inkjet-printed OLED manufacturing is seen as a potential alternative to traditional OLED production methods, offering reduced material waste and lower manufacturing costs while supporting high-resolution panel production.

“Through APEX-led, full-stack innovation, TCL CSOT is making ‘Display the Future’ accessible in the era of AI across every aspect of everyday life. This year, our IJP OLED solutions will also debut in the mid-size segment,” TCL CSOT chief executive Jun Zhao says.

On the hardware side, TCL CSOT is focusing on advancing low-power OLED panels and more energy-efficient LCD systems designed to reduce power consumption without compromising brightness or image quality. TCL CSOT also highlighted ongoing work in AI-driven holographic displays, Micro LED and XR applications aimed at future interactive and immersive environments.
