Sony Electronics has launched its powerful new BRAVIA 4K HDR BZ40H series of professional displays for the commercial market including the 55” FW-55BZ40H, 65” FW-65BZ40H, 75” FW-75BZ40H and 85” FW-85BZ40H for use in various B2B applications.

The entire range combines Sony’s high picture quality and system on a chip platform with intelligent, convenient and professional features, providing flexibility to customise the display to meet users’ specific needs.

This series of BRAVIA displays is cosmetically redesigned with input from users, offering new terminal positions, a flat bottom bezel and a reinforced structure. Compared to past BRAVIA models, this series has faster processing and transfer speeds to accommodate to the demands of a professional space.

The BZ40H implements a number of Sony’s advanced AV technologies including detailed 4K picture quality with 620-nit overall and 850-nit peak brightness with high contrast, as well as X-Balanced speakers, which together provide customers with exquisite picture and sound.

“Our BRAVIA professional displays have always been recognised for their pristine image quality,” Sony Electronics pro division president Theresa Alesso says.

“With the launch of our new BZ40H series, we’ve listened to our customers and created a revamped lineup that combines flexible terminal access, enhanced cosmetic design, increased processing speeds and improved wireless connectivity to serve as our most robust and functional model to date.”

It also has an advanced IP network connection (both wired and wireless LAN) and supports Crestron Connected and Extron IP Link systems or can easily integrate with other typical central control systems.

With the Pro mode, users can customise the meeting display to their needs with easy-to-operate, one-step settings. The professional BRAVIAs also offer simplified export/import functions using USB memory, which lets users configure multiple displays from one ‘master’ settings file, improving installation efficiency and providing a consistent setup for enterprise customers.

The lineup’s wireless connectivity supports 5GHz, in addition to 2.4GHz, wireless access point (WAP) for less interference to maximise network performance. It also supports an internal WAP that’s enabled within the software, eliminating the need to connect devices to external WiFi access points.

Users can create content with HTML5 and publish it easily to manage up to 4K video as well as contribute to visualised communications only through a USB plug-and-play operation. The BZ40H series provides more than 100 REST APIs that can be integrated into external systems easily.

This latest range from Sony will be available in September 2020 in North America.
