Optoma releases new smart projector with IoT capabilities
Optoma has just launched the UHL55 LED 4K smart projector featuring Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant which allows users to play movies or TV series on demand via voice control almost anywhere in the home.
Compact in design the UHL55 is easy to setup and move from room to room. Auto focus and auto keystone automatically measures the distance between the projector and screen adjusting focus accordingly and allowing it to be placed anywhere in the home.
With built-in WiFi the UHL55 also integrates with If This Then That (IFTTT) applets, enabling full integration with other smart devices around the home.

Powered by Android, an included InfoWall can be scheduled to wake users up naturally to a calming and relaxing playlist, while personalised information is accessible on demand when required.
The UHL55 is capable of decoding Dolby 5.1 surround sound, enabling it to connect to an existing surround sound speaker system.
Bluetooth allows users to stream audio directly to the projector, turning it into a versatile standalone Bluetooth speaker when it’s not projecting, while two listening modes ‘music’ and ‘movie’ allow users to seamlessly change audio settings.
Audio performance is enhanced with vented enclosure technology, extending low-pitch and low-frequency soundwaves reproduced at sub-100Hz, resulting in deeper, fuller and superior bass performance.
Precision engineered ports allow the UHL55 to deliver 360-degree, omnidirectional sound, suitable for any home environment.
