Cleerline launches SSF MTP patch cords for high-density fibre installations
The Cleerline Technology Group has launched a range of multistrand MTP patch cords built with its proprietary SSF fibre, targeting commercial and residential technology applications where durability and installation flexibility are critical.
The patch cords are designed to improve reliability in high-density and mission-critical environments, including data centres, broadband and industrial deployments. Unlike traditional fibre, Cleerline’s SSF glass uses an integral polymer coating to increase bend tolerance and reduce the risk of damage during handling and installation.

“We recognised the need for more durable MTP and MPO cables in the market. In multistrand cables, if a single fibre is compromised during installation or handling, the entire assembly must be replaced. SSF ensures that won’t happen,” Cleerline president Ryan Prentice says.
The cords are rated for ExtremeBend, allowing them to maintain optical performance in tight routing spaces without the need for bulky armoured construction. Each cable is also tested to exceed industry standards for insertion loss and reflectance.
The range uses US Conec Elite MTP connectors, which are compatible with standard MPO connectors and are designed to support easier installation and lower insertion loss.
The patch cords are available in eight, 12 or 24-fibre configurations across OM3, OM4 and OS2 constructions, with options for multiple polarities, UPC and APC polishes and male or female connectors. Custom lengths, trunk builds and breakouts are also available to suit specific project requirements.
