Chowmainsoft launches Casambi driver for Control4
Chowmainsoft has released a Casambi driver for Control4, allowing integrators to connect Casambi wireless lighting systems with Control4 automation systems through local IP communication.
The integration connects Control4 to a Casambi network via the Lithernet Casambi Ethernet Gateway, providing two-way control and feedback without requiring a cloud connection.

The driver automatically discovers compatible Casambi devices and creates Control4 bindings, supporting multiple device types on the same network.
For Casambi luminaires, the integration provides on/off, brightness, colour temperature and colour control where supported. It can automatically detect the capabilities of each luminaire, while real-time feedback is sent back to Control4.
Compatible Casambi presence sensors can also be automatically detected and configured as Control4 motion sensor devices, providing motion and occupancy feedback.
The driver supports Casambi switches and keypads, with up to eight buttons per device. Each button can create a BUTTON_LINK connection and programmable Tap event, allowing button presses to trigger Control4 programming, scenes and automation.
Control4 programming can also trigger Casambi scenes directly through the Lithernet Gateway, allowing lighting scenes to be incorporated into wider home automation routines.
The integration uses Casambi’s Bluetooth Low Energy mesh network, which enables compatible luminaires, switches, keypads, sensors and other devices to communicate wirelessly without traditional lighting control wiring.
