Centralite motion sensor

Wireless device manufacturer Centralite has just announced its 3-Series Micro Motion Sensor and Micro Door Sensor have been certified to work with Echo Plus, Amazon’s voice assistant.

Centralite is now one of only two hardware partners whose sensors have been designated as “Works with Alexa” devices in connection with Echo Plus.

Because Centralite’s sensors are Zigbee-based, and Echo Plus has built-in ZigBee capability, no third-party hub is required; both sensors can be easily integrated directly into Echo Plus.

Centralite chief executive Sean Bryant says the newest “Works with Alexa” certification is part of building a long-term relationship with Amazon.

“There’s no doubt that voice assistants are becoming an increasingly vital component in the smart home ecosystem, and Amazon leads the way with Alexa and Echo,” he said.

“Consequently, Centralite is committed to include Alexa and Echo Plus integration and support in our future product roadmap.”
