Yamaha introduces training for new Aventage models
The intensive two-day course was held at Yamaha Music Australia’s head offices in Southbank. Focusing exclusively on the 11 channel CX-A5000 pre-amplifier and MXA5000 power amplifier, the training included an in-depth seminar exploring small-room acoustics and hands-on home theatre calibration providing participants with improved skills to aid installation and optimise in-store demonstration.
Flown in from the United States, Gerry Lemay from HAA (Home Acoustics Alliance) cohosted the training session alongside Justin d’Offay – Product Manager for Yamaha Music Australia’s AV Division. Two sessions were conducted in mid-September with a third advanced session provided for those wanting to further expand their applied acoustics and home theatre calibration knowledge.
“With the launch of high-end product, we saw an opportunity to provide high-end training” explains Justin.

“The sessions ensure that our resellers have the opportunity to get the most out of the new pre/power combo.”
Attendees of the training included shopfront staff, installers and key decision-makers within the businesses taking on the product. As opposed to Yamaha’s itinerant strategy for unveiling the AVENTAGE Separate Components through a series of intimate showings across the country, interstate delegates were flown into Melbourne to attend the training session/s.
The CX-A5000 and MX-A5000 bear the premium AVENTAGE tag however sit above the established series which is in its fourth iteration in 2013. The pinnacle of Yamaha’s multichannel home theatre range promises to take home entertainment to a completely new level with unrivalled versatility and AV performance which was demonstrated during the training.
