Yamaha AVENTAGE BD-A1020 Universal Blu-ray Player with WiFi and Build Enhancements
Designed to complement the performance and styling of the company’s critically-acclaimed and award-winning line of AVENTAGE AV receivers, this model enables Netflix and YouTube Leanback video streaming and offers full remote operation from smartphones and tablets via Yamaha’s top-rated AV controller apps for Apple iOS, Android and Kindle Fire devices.
The BD-A1020 offers many Internet-based interactive features, including BD-Live and BonusView, which provide secondary video and audio for enhanced commentary and information. This model is also a DLNA certified client (player/renderer) that can be used to view content streamed from compatible devices.

The BD-A1020 offers wide-ranging compatibility with DivX, MKV with DivX and H.264, MPEG PS, MPEG TS, MPEG-4, VOB, AVI, ASF,AVCHD, WMV, MOV, JPEG (HD), MP3, MP4, WMA, WAV and AAC content, including FLAC files. The model also features x.v.Color and Deep Color enhancements for video playback.
Combining Yamaha’s best-in-class technology and engineering with stylish design, the BD-A1020 facilitates maximum operating convenience with the company’s SCENE mode. By pressing the SCENE BD/DVD button on a current Yamaha AV receiver or the receiver’s remote control, users can automatically power on the receiver and the BD-A1020 simultaneously and begin disc playback.
Presenting all video and audio content at its best, the BD-A1020 offers full HD Audio decoding and 1080p/24Hz-compatible HDMI, as well as 2-channel down-mixed audio output. It also features a 192kHz/32-bit audio DAC, Pure Direct mode (which uses the shortest signal route for higher sound purity) and 1080p playback for DVDs, photos and home videos.
Users can view digital images via Picasa and playback JPEG slideshows with MP3 audio sound, as well as videos and music content, via the BD-A1020’s dual USB ports (front and back).
Additional features include an RC-232C port for custom install integration and control, on-screen display GUI, a detachable power cable, and setup wizard which enables the system to be easily readied for video and audio entertainment.
