Viking by Crown Group, a development project located in the heart of Sydney, is leading the way of large-scale buildings having automated solutions.

In 2015, Viking by Crown was named the joint winner in ‘Home Units $500,000-$700,000’ category at the 2015 Master Builders Australia (MBA) NSW Excellence in Housing Awards.

Legrand partnered with electrical contractor G&S Maroun to develop a well-suited automation solution for this residential project. Keeping in touch with Viking by Crown Group’s unique building structure and sophisticated design, G&S Maroun selected BTicino’s 2-Wire Intercom and Automation systems.

The systems are designed for room temperature maintenance, door entry control (either locally or via smartphone), and to also oversee the centralised supervision of the whole apartment block.

BTicino’s 10” Touchscreen video handset was also selected, so residents can manage their door entry, monitor their energy usage and all other home automation functions.

Legrand’s Arteor coverplates added that final touch, adding a new level of sophistication, with its genuine materials and pleasing aesthetics.

Legrand was delighted to have provided this service to one of Australia’s industry bodies.
