RTI, which is distributed by Connected Media Australia, has announced it is now shipping the second generation of its XP-6 advanced control processor, which is designed to meet the evolving needs of any project.

The XP-6 features a new rack-mountable design that allows for simple installations in complex projects such as smart homes, corporate environments and sports bars.

It also features a faster i.MX53 CPU than its predecessor, providing increased processing power, as well as eight times more RAM memory and four times more internal non-volatile Flash memory. This brings both up to 512MB.

Additionally, the XP-6 offers comprehensive control and automation options, including two-way RS 232, routable IR, Ethernet, three programmable relays, three voltage trigger outputs and three voltage sense inputs. The XP-6s Ethernet port provides IP control, as well as support for RTI’s RTiPanel app for smartphones, tablets and PCs, while an astronomical clock allows time-based events and timers to trigger commands and macros.
