Transparent OLED offers unique experience
LG’s Transparent OLED digital signage display, which is available for the first time this month, has been launched at this week’s InfoComm show in Orlando.
The razor-thin see-through display is designed to deliver a unique customer experience in specialised commercial applications, particularly retail and hospitality. The experience of watching video is augmented by seeing objects and images behind the screen.

The company is showcasing six transparent displays in landscape and portrait mode, while a touch-version of the 55-inch LG Transparent OLED fronts an LG OLED video wall, allowing the user to interact with content.
LG has also introduced the ‘Curvature Calibrator’ which will train integrators on how to operate the calibrator to get the desired convex and concave curvatures depending on the project requirements.
LG Business Solutions US vice president of marketing Garry Wicka says that LG is combining the uniqueness of a see-through display with the unrivalled form factor and picture quality of LG OLED technology.
“Just think about the possibilities in hospitality, retail and other environments where business owners are looking to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience.”
