SVS 3000 series

Australian AV distributor Interdyn has announced plans to release US speaker manufacturer SVS‘s 3000 Series subwoofers this December.

The 3000 Series combines a brand new 13” high-excursion SVS driver, an 800W RMS and a 2,500W peak power amplifier.

The new 13” high-excursion SVS driverwith 11kg dual toroidal magnet motor helps deliver low frequency output, while maintaining crisp speed in transients.

An aluminium vented cone with a stiffness to mass ratio and a proprietary injection-moulded extreme-excursion surround ensures pistonic motion for room-filling bass response with pinpoint control and accuracy.

An 800W RMS and 2,500+W peak power Sledge STA-800D2 amplifierwith fully discrete MOSFET maximises the full potential of the 13” driver with effortless power and absolute control.

The flat edge wound split-wind voice coil within the motor assembly provides on-demand power at high excursion, while reducing mass and improving overall driver efficiency.

A new Intelligent Control Interface (ICI) rear amplifier panel with touch buttons and an LED bar interface is a SVS first designed specifically for the 3000 Series. This provides the user control of volume, low pass frequency, phase and other critical functions.

The 3000 Series is set to be released just in time for Christmas.
