Submissions are now being accepted for the 2024 CEDIA Smart Home Awards, the annual global awards program honouring outstanding achievements in the field of smart home technology.

To better recognise and celebrate the diverse talents and contributions within the industry, CEDIA has expanded its individual awards category to include Best Newcomer, Best Sales/Manufacturer’s Representative and Best Technician.

“The recent expansions to the CEDIA Smart Home Awards reflect CEDIA’s commitment to acknowledging excellence across various roles and levels of expertise within the industry,” CEDIA global president and chief executive officer Daryl Friedman says.

“Our hope is that the CEDIA Smart Home Awards can serve as a beacon of inspiration and aspiration for all those dedicated to transforming the way we live.”

Categories for the 2024 CEDIA Smart Home Awards include the Home Technology Integrator category with awards to be presented to Best Home Cinema, Best Media Room, Best Integrated Home, Best Marine, Multi-Dwelling Unit, Assisted Living, Excellence In: Documentation, Excellence In: Lighting, Excellence In: Racking, Excellence In: User Experience and Technology Meets Design.

Under the category of Business, submissions will be accepted for awards in Excellence In: Business, Home Technology Integrator, Excellence In: Business, Manufacturer’s Representative and/or Distributor, Best Showroom: Home Technology Integrator, Best Showroom: Business, Manufacturer’s Representative, and/or Distributor and Emerging Business (APAC Only).

For the Manufacturer category, awardees will include Best New Hardware, Best New Software and Product Hall of Fame, while the Individual category will be announcing awardees for Volunteer of the Year, New Volunteer, Certification Volunteer, Standards Volunteer and Education Volunteer.

Lastly, under the CEDIA Fellow awards will be presented for the Lifetime Achievement Award, Best Newcomer, Best Sales/Manufacturer’s Representative and Best Technician.

The final deadline for submissions will be 15 April for Home Technology Integrator categories and 1 June for Business, Individual and Manufacturer Product categories. The early bird deadline for Manufacturer Product categories is 1 May.
