elite-screensElite Screens, Inc. an innovative company that specializes in quality projection screens, recently announced the launch of its Spectrum motorized projection screen with Ultra High Definition Acoustically Transparent (UHD-AT). This means that a 4K acoustically-transparent material is finally available to the retail channel on a motorized screen platform.

“Entry level home theatre products are becoming more sophisticated because they must.”Said Dave Rodgers, Marketing Manager of Elite Screens. “So many low-cost projectors are giving a tremendous amount of value as opposed to their low cost so why shouldn’t a screen be different.”

The Spectrum AcousticPro UHD is the newest motorized acoustically transparent projection screen by Elite Screens.  What makes it unprecedented  is that it has a 4K acoustically-transparent moiré-free material so that CE-Retail buyers can enjoy the same high-end theatrical grade performance where sound and image come from the same point of perception just like it does in an actual movie theatre.

The AcousticPro UHD material is a 1.0 gain porous weave that is so fine; it can be used with UHD (aka 4K projectors). Its .32mm perforations are virtually imperceptible. The remarkably small stature of the openings allow sound from in-wall speakers behind it to pass through the material with only a2.36 dB average insertion loss without creating visual artifacts such as the moiré.  The material’s flame retardant properties are compliant with NFPA 701 standards.

Standard control accessories include an Infrared receiver with remote  and a detachable 3-way wall switch. It also has a 5-12 volt trigger that can coordinate the screen’s drop and rise with the projector’s power cycle.

Optional features include wireless RF 12v trigger and ceiling trim kit for recessed ceiling installations.

Lastly, the screen drops and rises with the aid of a silent and power-saving synchronous motor. All this comes housed in a durable enameled metal casing that comes fully assembled. So all you have to do it take it out of the box, hang it up, plug and play.
