Sonance release new line of Amplifier products
Sonance’s new line of Amplifier products push the envelope with class-leading performance, rock-solid stability and ease of installation. They offer incredible flexibility to meet the demands of custom installations of all types and perfectly complement the Sonance speaker line. The new Sonance Amplifiers replace all 11 Sonamp Amplifier products.
SONARC Interface
At the heart of all Sonance DSP Amplifiers is the SONARC (Sonance Advanced Room Correction) web interface featuring numerous Sonance designed DSP presets, preloaded for effortless DSP without the need for additional hardware or calibration. The built-in 10-band parametric EQ allows for optional customisation of the preloaded DSP presets.

The SONARC interface may be accessed by any web browser when the amplifier is connected to your computer through a network router. Once accessed, the SONARC interface offers a myriad of options and customisability through three simple tabs: General Settings, In/Out Settings and EQ Settings. The following provides a snapshot of some of the key functions available under each tab. Images below are taken from the interface for a DSP-8-130 DSP Amplifier.
General Settings
- ID Amp Mode: Flash power switch to make the amplifier you’re working with easier to identify in a multi-amp installation.
- Print: Creates a complete list of all the settings for the amplifier. Ideal for dealers to keep on hand to recall settings set for customer’s install.
- Auto On: Select between auto on methods of Voltage, IP, IR, Audio or front panel hard button.
- Auto On Delay: Stagger the turn on of each amplifier, if multiple amplifiers are connected to the same electrical circuit.
In/Out Settings
- Input Level Trim dB: Adjust input levels so all input sources are at an equal level.
- DSP Preset: Apply any of the available Sonance DSP presets to each channel of the amplifier independently.
- Output Group: Set multiple channels to a designated output group, if desired. When using IP or IR to control the amplifier, commands are sent to an output group and not to a specific channel.
- Mode Source 2: Set whether the second source inputted on the channel is to either mute source 1 when a signal on source 2 is present, mix both sources together or ignore source 2 input by selecting ‘off’.
- Output volume: The main volume level control for each channel.
- Maximum volume: Limit how loud speakers play on each channel.
EQ Settings
- Test signal: The SONARC software includes a pink noise generator. Use the pink noise generator in conjunction with a real time analyser to measure speakers, if desired.
- Import Export Preset: As simple as attaching a document to an email, import and export single presets at a time or use ‘all presets’ when setting up multiple amplifiers. 50 presets are stored to the amplifier at a time.
