SoundTube launches Cherry Bomb Galaxy outdoor bollard speaker
SoundTube Entertainment, distributed by NAS Solutions in Australia, has unveiled the Rockustics Cherry Bomb Galaxy (CBG5), an outdoor bollard speaker designed to deliver full-range landscape audio from a single enclosure.
The speaker features a three-way system architecture that combines a 5.25” double-chamber bandpass subwoofer, 4.5” midrange driver and 0.75” titanium dome tweeter in one unit. Unlike landscape audio systems that rely on separate subwoofers, the Cherry Bomb Galaxy integrates low, mid and high frequencies into a single installation point.

SoundTube says the design improves bass consistency and eliminates phase alignment issues that can arise when subwoofers are installed separately, while also simplifying system design and installation.
“With Cherry Bomb Galaxy, we’ve taken the next step in outdoor audio design by integrating a true three-way system with a built-in subwoofer into a single bollard form factor,” SoundTube vice president Ken Hecht says.
“That allows integrators to deliver full-range, phase-coherent sound from a single installation point while significantly simplifying system design and installation.”
The Cherry Bomb Galaxy delivers low-frequency performance down to 38Hz (-10dB) and supports 70.7V, 100V or 8Ω operation, allowing it to be used across a range of commercial and residential distributed audio systems.
Built from rotomolded LLDPE with a weatherised aluminium grille, the speaker is designed for long-term outdoor use. Its direct-burial bollard design also reduces excavation requirements and installation time.
The speaker is suited to applications including hospitality and resort landscapes, outdoor retail and dining areas, residential landscape audio, parks, walkways, public spaces and commercial outdoor entertainment venues.
