RingCentral announces new hybrid work innovations

RingCentral, Inc. has announced several new innovations designed to make hybrid work easier by simplifying the process of collaboration, leveraging data and insights, and enhancing customer experience.

RingCentral chief innovation officer Kira Makagon says the world of work has changed and businesses are replacing outdated and cumbersome technology, tools and platforms to simplify the lives of their employees.

“At RingCentral, our mission has always been to give users cloud communications technology that solves real world challenges but is also easy to set-up, use, and manage. Our latest innovations address the widespread challenges associated with hybrid work empowering organisations to deliver transformative employee and customer experiences that more effectively connect and empower global teams with simple and flexible communications and collaborations.”

New features to simply communications and collaboration include incorporation of: RingCentral Webinar; AI-based advanced meeting insights and summaries; Whiteboard; live transcription; participant reactions using non-verbal cues; Zoom and Webex capabilities for joining meetings from RingCentral Rooms; various RingCentral add-ins; RingCentral for Hubspot; and advanced call and fax blocking.

Sidney Ong, head of business applications at BirdEye, says that RingCentral is the communications glue within their organisation: “We’ve integrated our own platform and developed real time alerts. We’re now using features such as the new Add-in Poll bot –a critical tool to help us scale our collaboration and improve our efficiency.”

Other fresh features around data gathering include: next-gen analytics for lines of businesses, as well as configurable dashboards and custom reporting.

All of this is aimed at enhancing customer experiences such as providing AI Agent Assist, video elevation, and the virtual agent hub.
