Nice launches the Mylo voice assistant
Nice has launched Mylo, a voice assistant, to boost the smart home experience.
This was introduced with NiceOS 8.9 so the voice assistant understands the user’s location and device preferences so users can manage their cameras, lighting, media, climate and security with natural language control.

Home owners can personalise either a male or female voice and customise sounds. Users can give commands without needing to say a location or device name as the voice assistant is associated with a specific area or media zone through its interface.
“Voice control has been in need of a refresh to provide a simplified, more intuitive experience for end-users,” Nice managing director of the home management business unit Paul Williams says.
“We’ve listened closely to our dealers to understand the needs of their customers and we are thrilled to deliver a solution that truly transforms the way users interact with and manage their home.”
The voice assistant will be compatible with Sonos as part of the Nice Home Management platform. Nice achieved a Works With Sonos certification in late 2024 to allow users to search, manage and sync their Sonos music with other elements of the smart home.
Key features and the benefits of the Nice Voice Assistance include intuitive control, robust security, a simplified setup, compound commands, native integration, enhanced speed, continuous updates, Works With Sonos and voice trigger phrases.
The Nice Voice Assistant is also compatible with Nice SC100, SC300, SC150 and SC350 controllers running Core OS 8.9 or later, paired with ITP Touch Panels and Nice HR40 remotes.
