Kwikset has introduced the next generation of its Signature Series Deadbolt with Home Connect, with extended wireless range, offering security in residential homes.

The product features two key updates: the inclusion of the newer Z-Wave Plus 500 Series chip, and its smaller interior footprint so that it blends in more easily to a home.

When connected to a standard smart home hub, the motorised deadbolts enable true remote locking and unlocking, giving home owners remote access and control of the lock from anywhere in the world, using the app from the home automation controller.

As a result, they can lock a door while on the road and also provide remote access for service providers, guests or other family members. The app records a door’s lock/unlock status.

The product includes other advanced features for maximum security and convenience, including SmartKey Security which protects against advanced break-in techniques but also allows home owners to re-key the lock in seconds without a locksmith.
