New appointments at CEDIA
The CEDIA board of directors has approved the 2021 executive committee, authorised the seven-person governance committee, and welcomed three new, elected directors who will serve the 2021-2022 term: Shannon Bush, Eddie Shapiro, and Michael Sherman.
Albert Mizrahi, whose appointed seat on the board expired in 2020, was voted by CEDIA membership for the 2021-2022 term as an elected member.

CEDIA chairperson Rob Sutherland says: “CEDIA’s board of directors is well-positioned to continue driving our industry forward and helping integrators throughout the world navigate challenges and support learning, business, and workforce development opportunities that help deliver tremendous value to our members and the industry.”
The 2021 CEDIA Executive Committee members include: Rob Sutherland, David Weinstein, Melanie Malcolm, Alex Capecelatro and David Humphries.
CEDIA’s board of directors, voted in office by organisation members, represent previously-open EMEA region and global members of the CEDIA community. The new directors joining the CEDIA board are: Shannon Bush, Eddie Shapiro, Michael Sherman, and Albert Mizrahi.
Rob says: “As their terms have come to an end, CEDIA and the board of directors would like to thank Peter Aylett, Michael Cogbill, and Joe Whitaker for their years of service and dedication to the board. There’s no question board responsibilities have their challenges, but the friendship and guidance from Peter, Michael, and Joe help make it worthwhile. All three exemplify the very best qualities of our industry and have left lasting legacies that will be hard to replace.”
The following directors complete CEDIA’s board: Jamie Briesemeister, John Buchanan, Bill Skaer, and Amanda Wildman.
CEDIA has also announced the approval of the 2020 governance committee, which includes: David Weinstein (as chairperson), Jamie Briesemeister, Alex Capecelatro, Hagai Feiner, Steve Martin, Hamish Neale, and Matt Scott.
The committee’s tasks include preparing and presenting new board member orientation, nominating potential board candidates, and overseeing the board election and appointment process.
