Motorised mount sets a high bar
MantelMount has introduced its Automated MM860 Robotic Mount, a motorised TV mount that automatically lowers and swivels a TV to eye level.
The product has been in development for three years; it integrates with all popular control systems with command sets for hard-coding additional systems. It can also be controlled through an included 433 MHZ RF remote, as well as IR-based remotes from Logitech and URC.

Its patent pending multi-axis hub allows for fluid, barely audible movement. It also detects when the TV is switched on and automatically sets the mount to the favourite preset. It can also detect unsafe temperatures if the mount is above a fireplace.
The mount is DHCP-enabled straight out of the box and is easily identifiable on the network. It comes with an onboard web server for simple browser-based configuration, and software and firmware updates.
The Robotic Mount also features: multiple memory presets; power-loss recovery; vertical and horizontal travel limits; and a powerful, responsive CPU.
It is made to fit TVs with a diagonal measure of 55” to 100” and up to 125lbs in weight.
MantelMount chief executive Lee Marc says the new product is the premier home automation mount on the market.
“We have further distanced ourselves from competitive offerings with features that no other mount can claim. It’s a state-of-the-art product that’s attractively priced. Custom integrators will wow their customers with advanced technology while enhancing their home theatre experience. At the same time, they’ll generate more revenue with the sale and installation of this truly premium product.”
The robotic mount, he adds, demonstrates the company’s ability to evolve and improve, as well as its desire to meet and exceed the demands of the market.
The MM860 will be sold exclusively through MantelMount’s authorised dealer network.
