Linn launches 343 loudspeaker with Pistonik bass technology

Linn, distributed by Audio Connection in Australia, has launched its 343 loudspeaker in two configurations, featuring the company’s Pistonik motor system, a moulded composite cabinet and integrated electronics designed to improve bass performance and sound reproduction.

First introduced in Linn’s flagship 360 loudspeakers earlier in 2026, Pistonik is used in the 343’s 8” down-firing bass driver and 6” upper bass driver. The system is designed to deliver controlled low-frequency output, linear movement and reduced distortion.

The down-firing 8” driver uses the floor as a reflective acoustic boundary to distribute bass energy into the room, while the 6” driver handles frequencies contributing to the body and presence of music. Linn says the two drivers account for around 70% of the loudspeaker’s acoustic workload.

The cabinet features a continuous, curved design intended to reduce sound diffraction and support consistent dispersion and stereo imaging. Made from glass-fibre-reinforced moulding compound, the enclosure is designed to provide structural rigidity while allowing thinner walls and sufficient internal volume for the bass system and electronics.

The 343 is available as an Exakt Integrated model, which incorporates a Utopik power supply, Exakt digital crossover, Power DAC architecture, Organik DACs and Adaptive Bias Control amplification.

The Passive with Active Bass (PWAB) version uses the same Pistonik bass drivers, with the Utopik power supply and Power DAC supporting the bass system. External amplification drives the upper bass, midrange and tweeter array.

Both versions feature a mechanically isolated electronics module mounted on a three-point spring system. Passive cooling uses a custom aluminium heat sink to draw heat through the module and out of a vent at the top of the loudspeaker.

The Linn 343 Exakt Integrated and PWAB models are available to order in six finishes: Triton, Single Malt, Clyde Built, Linn Heritage, Piano Black and Alpine White. All finishes feature black array trims.
