Kordz has expanded with the addition of a control cable to its ONE series, delivering a streamlined solution for power and control wiring in residential and commercial environments.

The ONE control cable is designed to simplify installation by combining dependable power delivery and RS-485 communication into a single, professional-grade cable.

Purpose-built for systems integrators, the cable supports a wide range of control applications including lighting, shading, HVAC interfaces, sensors and automation processors. It features 18AWG stranded conductors for Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) power alongside a 22AWG shielded twisted pair for RS-485 data, reducing cable clutter while maintaining reliable performance. The design is compatible with widely deployed control platforms and brands such as Lutron, Crestron and Control4.

“Control infrastructure is foundational to reliable residential and commercial automation. With the ONE control cable, we’ve applied the same integrator-first engineering principles that define our ONE series, delivering a durable, compliant and installer-friendly solution that simplifies control wiring without compromise,” Kordz managing director James Chen says.

Balanced strand construction provides an effective balance between power handling and flexibility, allowing the cable to be routed easily through conduits, risers and control enclosures.

Installer-focused features such as industry-standard internal colour coding, metre-marked lengths and an internal nylon ripcord help reduce preparation time, particularly on large-scale commercial and multi-dwelling projects.

The cable meets IEC60332-1 flame-retardant PVC requirements and carries a CPR Eca classification, addressing basic flame propagation standards. Compliance with AS/NZS S008:2020 and RoHS supports use across a broad range of residential and commercial applications.
