Josh.ai has launched AI X OS, a next-generation operating system that expands AI across its smart home control platform, introducing new capabilities for device control, interface customisation and home automation.

Building on a successful early access program with dealers, AI X OS has been refined using real-world feedback to deliver a more intuitive, integrated and intelligent smart home experience. The platform aims to simplify control as connected homes become increasingly complex, with AI supporting everything from automation creation to personalised user experiences.

AI X OS introduces a redesigned interface centred around customisable home dashboards, allowing users to view active devices, favourite scenes and pinned controls from a single location. A new persistent navigation bar streamlines whole-home control, while redesigned lighting, climate and media controllers provide faster access to everyday functions.

The update also enhances Josh.ai’s voice experience with a redesigned interface that supports more natural voice and text interactions, alongside an Active Media Hub that provides instant access to music and video sessions throughout the home.

AI plays a central role in the new platform, with AI-powered Scene Creation enabling users to generate automations simply by describing how they want their home to behave. AI Image Creation also allows personalised artwork to be generated to suit the style and character of individual homes.

AI X OS further expands Josh.ai’s integration capabilities with native support for Jandy and Pentair pool and spa systems, extending automation beyond the home to outdoor living spaces. The platform also enhances Josh Vision by integrating live camera feeds directly into the control interface through movable picture-in-picture windows.

Additional features include curated Recommended Scenes designed to simplify everyday routines and expanded interface customisation, helping users create a more personalised smart home experience.
