Josh.ai has expanded on its smart home control experience through a new integration with Xfinity X1 set-top boxes.

Using Josh.ai’s proprietary voice automation, Comcast customers with the X1 will be able to use the voice functionality of their remote alongside entire home control.

This includes all IP-enabled Xfinity set-top boxes on firmware 4.0p12s2 or newer. The boxes will auto-populate for configuration which lets integrators efficiently assign them as input sources in any system design to route content from room-to-room.

The X1 integration is rich in features and users can call channels by station name, number, surf channels up and down, open the channel guide, pause and play content and more.
