Extron has released its latest model, the DXP 42 HD 4K PLUS, the new addition to the high-performance HDMI matrix switchers which supports data rates up to 18 Gbps and video resolutions up to 4K/60 with 4:4:4 chroma sampling.

The new matrix switcher is easily integrated into a wide variety of AV applications. It provides automatic cable equalisation on each input and independent output reclocking to reshape and restore video signal timing both HDMI outputs.

Extron technologies such as EDID Minder and Key Minder ensure optimal system performance and compliance with HDCP-encrypted content.

There are multiple control options which make the matrix switcher an ideal solution for applications requiring reliable, high performance switching of 4K/60 HDMI video and audio signals. Built-in audio de-embedders allow signals to be routed to analogue audio outputs and made available as line level stereo audio on captive screw connectors.

Extron vice president of worldwide sales and marketing Casey Hall says: “System designers and integrators often need compact matrix switchers for small meeting rooms and collaboration spaces. The DXP 42 HD $K PLUS is the answer. It’s small in size and big on performance, delivering 4K/60 4:4:4 signal routing and de-embedded audio outputs without need for additional equipment.”
