Extron has introduced the DTP3 T 321 4K/60 USB-C DTP3 Transmitter, a solution for extending USB-C video, audio, data, power and bidirectional RS-232 signals up to 100m over a single shielded CAT 6A cable.

Designed for professional AV environments, the transmitter features a USB-C input, local HDMI output and two USB device ports. It supports resolutions up to 4K/60 with 4:4:4 colour sampling, alongside EDID Minder and HDCP 2.3.

Video signals are transmitted without compression, while the unit supports USB data rates up to 10Gbps. It can also provide power to connected DTP3 receivers, reducing cabling requirements for installations where devices need to be located away from the source.

“The DTP3 T 321 makes it easier than ever to connect and power USB-C devices in professional AV environments,” Extron chief marketing officer Casey Hall says.

“By combining long-distance signal extension, device charging and USB connectivity, it streamlines integration while maintaining exceptional performance.”

The USB-C connection supports DisplayPort Alt Mode video, USB data and device charging through a single cable. It also supports Deep Colour, 3D and embedded HD lossless audio formats.

The transmitter provides 60W of standard device charging power, which can be increased to up to 100W when used with Extron’s UPI 100 power inserter. This allows a compatible laptop, for example, to send video and USB data while receiving power through the same connection.

The DTP3 T 321 is designed to simplify connectivity in professional AV installations by combining long-distance signal extension, USB connectivity and device charging in a single solution.
