Extron DTP2 CrossPoint 82 delivers it all in one box

Extron has released its DTP2 CrossPoint 82, an 8×2 presentation matrix switcher that provides state-of-the-art video scaling, switching and integration features.

With a maximum data rate of 18Gbps, it supports video resolutions up to 4K/60 at 4:4:4 and is HDCP 2.2 compliant. It also incorporates the Extron-patented Vector 4K scaling technology and has DTP2, DisplayPort and HDMI inputs, plus one HDMI and one scaled DTP2 output for extending video, audio, and control signals up to 100m over a shielded CATx cable.

The DTP2 CrossPoint 82 is designed to be an ideal all-in-one system design solution with built-in Extron IPCP Pro control processor and an integrated 100W Class D power amplifier.

It’s a fast and reliable switching device and delivers excellent image quality along with Extron ProDSP audio processing, seamless video transition effects, logo keying and HDMI loop-through.

“The DTP2 CrossPoint 82 delivers the highest level of performance and capability in the industry for this category,” Extron vice president of worldwide sales and marketing Casey Hall says.

“The combination of market leading video and audio processing technologies, plus its secure control capabilities, gives designers and integrators a versatile solution that can be applied to a wide range of designs.”

The DTP2 CrossPoint 82 delivers all the core functionality of a conventional AV system in just a single enclosure that can replace as many as ten separate components. As a result of this, there is substantial space saving in the rack with the Extron device makes it easy to standardise a common system design.
