Extron has introduced the SF 10C SUB; an in-ceiling subwoofer that extends the low frequency response to support music and high performance audio applications.

A suspended-by-wire mounting design isolates the subwoofer from the ceiling grid. A 10” driver within a 4th order bandpass, plenum-rated enclosure, delivers room-filling bass.

“The SF 10C SUB is a unique solution to the problems associated with an in-ceiling subwoofer,” says Extron vice president of sales and marketing Casey Hall.

“Offering powerful low frequency performance that enhances ceiling speaker systems, the new subwoofer employs an innovative design that allows the subwoofer to be mounted in the plenum space while avoiding transfer of low end energy to the ceiling grid structure.”

Featuring a 10″ driver with 800W of program power handling capability, the SF 10C SUB works with ceiling speakers to improve the system bass response, extending the low frequency range down to 25Hz. The UL 2043 rating allows discreet placement in the plenum space.
