Extron has released the NAV E 222, a switching encoder featuring both USB-C and HDMI inputs, expanding the company’s NAV Pro AV over IP Series.

The NAV E 222 introduces versatile auto or manual input switching and can power connected USB-C devices with up to 100W using the optional UPI 100 Power Inserter. It also supports the AES67 audio-over-IP standard, enabling integration with Extron DMP Plus DSPs and other networked audio components.

Built for professional AV applications, the NAV platform delivers real-time, lossless video streaming up to 4K/60 with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and ultra-low latency. The series supports both 1Gbps and 10Gbps encoders and decoders, ensuring full interoperability across systems.

“We’re pleased to introduce the NAV E 222 switching encoder with new USB-C connectivity, meeting the growing demand for modern, versatile AV integration,” Extron chief marketing officer Casey Hall says.

“With all the power and reliability of our NAV Series, plus the ability to charge USB-C devices, the NAV E 222 adds convenience and efficiency to any Pro AV installation.”
