Extron has announced that it is now shipping the HAI 100 4K Plus, a high performance 4K/60 audio embedder.

It embeds either two-channel analogue audio or S/PDIF digital audio in two-channel or multi-channel formats onto the HDMI output signal. Its inputs support Dolby and DTS multi-channel formats, as well as an HDMI output and HDCP compliance.

Supporting data rates up to 18Gbps, HDR, 12-bit Deep Colour, 3D and lossless audio formats, the HAI 100 4K Plus also has integrator-friendly features like adjustable gain control for the analogue audio input, EDID Minder, HDMI input cable equalisation and an LED status display.

“HDMI audio embedders and de-embedders are often critical tools in AV system designs. Offering 18Gbps performance, the HAI 100 4K Plus offers the integrator friendly features and performance to meet today’s AV system requirements,” Extron vice president of sales and marketing Casey Hall says.
