Chowmain Software has released the Epson universal projector driver for RTI which allows for full control over most of the available Epson projectors from high-end laser projectors down to the entry level DLPs.

The driver supports control over IP or RS-232 and is fully tagged and ready for quick programming in Integration Designer Apex.

The driver also provides feedback for current input and power state, lamp hours and system messages. Depending on projector model, you may also have access to features like HDR modes, 3D control, audio control, lens shifting, setting trigger, and even sending messages to the screen.

Furthermore, if you combine lens memory functionality with Kaleidescape or similar media players with aspect ratio feedback, you can automate the perfect 2.35 home theatre experience so that RTI automates the projector lens shifting to match the aspect ratio of your Kaleidescape system automatically.
