Enhanced features in latest XiO Cloud version
Crestron is debuting the latest version of its XiO Cloud IoT-based technology provisioning and management solution at InfoComm this week.
XiO Cloud now gives technology managers remote support for touch screens, support for a growing portfolio of third-party devices, and an API to pull intelligence data. The product supports a direct device-to-cloud connection via an Azure IoT Hub with no additional hardware required. It requires no special ports or permissions, and enables bi-directional communication between devices in real-time.

A new Developer Kit gives third-party technology manufacturers the chance to integrate their devices with Crestron XiO Cloud so they can be managed like Crestron devices.
Crestron technology manager of enterprise software Brian Donlan says the new features speak to their commitment to support technology managers by evolving the platform without the need for any additional infrastructure investment.
“Crestron XiO Cloud is a true worldwide service. It’s available globally but with performance and redundancy locally. It’s a multi-tenant hyper-scale cloud; so deploying thousands of devices for the enterprise within minutes can be done anytime, anywhere, without worrying about deployment size or location.”
