Dynalite’s new residential sector main man

After eight years with the company, Phil assumes responsibility for supporting Dynalite’s dealers and distributors worldwide, with a primary focus on system integration in the home automation market.

He says residential applications are escalating: once the preserve of top-end houses, home automation is becoming increasingly accessible to homeowners in the mainstream market.

“It’s all about the ‘wow’ factor and where people want to go with their houses.

“They want to be able to use their mobile phones or the Internet to turn on the spa before they go home, as well as having the house think for itself–for example, manage the air-conditioning with the lighting and security systems.

“Further, home automation provides real scope for energy conservation, which is an increasingly important factor with the growing environmental consciousness of the residential sector.”

Phil brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the new position. Having spent the last three years managing Dynalite’s heavily residential-focussed South African market, he is ideally placed to apply this experience to a wider role.

“I see this position as a different way of serving Dynalite’s customers. I’ve been involved in training our dealers and distributors globally since 2001, and I understand the issues they face,” he says.

“Now the focus is to ensure they are armed with the right information and product mix to guarantee clients the quality service they expect from Dynalite.”

Phil’s remit is closely allied with the recently launched ‘Dynalite Dimension’ program. Dynalite Dimension is a new dealer accreditation framework that provides standardised training, improved access to technical support, and essential marketing support to all accredited companies and individuals.

“The aim of Dynalite Dimension is to assist current and future Dynalite dealers to provide the highest possible quality of services to their customers.

“It will bring Dynalite’s network of distributors and dealers closer together to create an optimum solution for all parties, and is one of the key areas I will be focussing on in this position.”
