Crestron has added to its line of UC conferencing technology with the Crestron Flex R-Series. A first-of-its-kind system brings collaboration where it’s needed most, closing the distance between remote teams wherever they may be.

In wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, rooms are evolving to meet the exponential demand for video conferencing. With this Crestron solution, users can easily share information and work collaboratively and eliminates time, cost and the installation process.

“The need to share knowledge and work collaboratively is more critical than ever,” Crestron director of sales, UC enterprise Andrew Gross says.

“Our Crestron Flex R-Series delivers a rapid deployment, social distancing-friendly solution that creates a productive workplace and can be utilised anywhere, quickly and efficiently. Beyond deployment, Crestron’s suite of management tools ensures customers can manage more endpoints with the same resources, helping companies tackle the need to rapidly expand their video conferencing footprint.”

The Flex R-Series features optional dual-mode technology based on the Crestron Flex MX architecture and lets organisations run native Microsoft Teams or Zoom Rooms or seamlessly switch to BYOD for all conferencing software.

It also features an intelligent camera with 150° field of vision that auto-frames participants which enables social distancing but doesn’t compromise the experience.

On top of that, a 360° quad microphone array has up to 20’ range and the system can support displays for 50” to 60”. Retractable Ethernet and power cables make for easy connections and it can also supports Crestron AirMedia wireless presentation systems so users can share content wirelessly from any device.

“With worldwide video conferencing at an all-time high as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Crestron has taken swift measures to create an easy-to-use solution that brings remote collaboration to every space,” Crestron director of strategy, UC Joseph Sarrasin explains.

“Our new Crestron Flex R-Series is reshaping the workplace as we know it, offering customers the ability to organise meetings on demand regardless of location or application.”

The Flex R-Series is available now and comes in seven different models.
