Crest Audio, a brand of Peavey Electronics Corporation, has unveiled two PoE++ powered loudspeakers, the CiP 26 and CiP 5, designed for modern networked AV environments.

Both models deliver professional audio performance while simplifying installation with a single Ethernet cable, reflecting the shift toward smarter, more scalable commercial audio systems.

Using PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 90W), the speakers carry power, control and audio over a single cable, eliminating the need for local mains power or separate amplifier racks. This enables cleaner installations, faster deployment and greater flexibility for integrators and end users.

“We are seeing a clear shift toward network-first audio design. Integrators want solutions that reduce infrastructure complexity while maintaining professional performance standards,” Peavey Commercial Audio sales manager EMEA Christoph Sesseck says.

“The CiP Series delivers scalable, network-integrated loudspeakers with PoE++ simplicity and the sonic character that Crest Audio is known for.”

The CiP 26 is a compact, high-output two-way loudspeaker featuring dual 6.5” woofers and a 1” dynamic tweeter. Its bi-amplified design produces clarity and headroom, reaching 103dB peak SPL at 1m.

With a frequency response of 65Hz to 20kHz and a 120° x 75° coverage pattern, it suits hospitality venues, larger collaboration spaces and other environments needing both music and speech reinforcement. A supplied wall-mount bracket and RJ-45 connectivity ensure simple installation.

The CiP 5 offers a more controlled soundstage for applications such as boardrooms, classrooms, boutique retail spaces and distributed background music systems. Equipped with a 5.25” woofer and 0.75” tweeter, it delivers 101dB peak SPL with a 90° x 60° dispersion pattern.

Like the CiP 26, it supports Dante and AES67 (sNET) audio networking, PoE++ power and optional 24VDC external power, with a compact enclosure and included U-bracket for easy mounting.
