Simply known as the ‘Clipsal Crew’, the program is eligible to young electricians under the age of 30, provided they are nominated by their employers.

The program will include a number of key business events offering advice on best business practices, innovation, electrical standards advice and more – all designed to protect and safeguard the future of the industry.

Clipsal Crew is a first for the electrical industry. The trial program was announced this month in South Australia only and has already attracted 70 members. If successful, Clipsal Crew will go national.

“Our aim is to introduce younger generation electricians into a wider business culture and for them to learn, network and find their voice in the electrical industry and benefit from the experience,” said Marcus Capaldo, Club Clipsal Development Manager.

“We have some of the best and most successful brains in the electrical business, outstanding and respected individuals in their field and they are keen to pass on their knowledge to the next generation coming through. Clipsal’s role is to simply provide the right environment to encourage that knowledge transfer.”

Clipsal Crew is hosted by Marcus Capaldo and Clipsal’s Standardisation Manager, Gary Busbridge. Gary manages the PACT, Club Clipsal’s Advisory team of past committee members who make up the Crew mentors. The program hopes to emulate Clipsal’s highly successful loyalty program, Club Clipsal, that is now enjoying its 16th year and includes more than 4000 electrical contractor members. Only Club Members can nominate staff for Crew membership.

The Crew will officially launch on 11 November with a welcome party and presentation at Clipsal’s head office in Gepps Cross.
