Chowmainsoft has released a Philips Dynalite driver for Control4, bringing one of the most widely used professional lighting control systems into the residential smart home ecosystem.

Philips Dynalite has powered high-end hotels, luxury dining venues and major architectural projects, where its precision and reliability enable complex and highly refined lighting designs. The driver allows home owners to access this commercial-grade capability directly through the Control4 interface.

The integration enables Dynalite lighting scenes, presets and automation events to be controlled natively within Control4, allowing users to adjust room ambience instantly, trigger Control4 actions from Dynalite switches and create combined scenes that leverage the strengths of both platforms.

The driver is designed to provide a seamless connection between Dynalite’s advanced lighting engine and Control4’s user-friendly smart home environment.

The Gateway Driver supports IP and serial control allows device and logical data to be imported from System Builder for automatic setup and preset use. It can automatically add areas and drivers, execute programmable area presets and enable or disable area motion detection.

The Light Driver detects light types, including on/off, dimmable, colour-temperature and full colour lighting and synchronises changes between Control4 and Dynalite keypads.

A dedicated Presets Driver sends and receives area presets and includes button bindings and automation events for preset execution. Additional components include a Blind Driver that uses presets for open, stop and close functions, a Fan Driver that uses presets for speed control and a Thermostat Driver that reads area temperature and determines operating modes based on channel levels.

The release provides Control4 users with direct access to Dynalite’s high-performance lighting capabilities, expanding the options for advanced scene creation and whole-home automation.
