CEDIA Education dates for 2009 released
On offer throughout the year, the training courses can now be booked on the CEDIA Asia Pacific website at www.cedia.com.au.
Maintaining the high quality of work and professionalism within the custom installation industry through the provision of a quality education programme is a major priority for CEDIA. In addition to the extensive training available within Australia and New Zealand, CEDIA Asia Pacific will be holding training for the first time in China.
CEDIA recognises the importance of regular training and exams. Leading up to the Expo in Sydney 15-17 July CEDIA AP will be offering a range of fundamental courses. This includes TCP/IP, Audio Theory, Setup and Calibration, Video Theory Setup and Calibration, and Introduction to Sub-Systems.

As Certification is now mandatory for all CEDIA Asia Pacific ESP (Electronic Systems Professional) members, CEDIA’s Certification program allows members of the electronic systems industry to demonstrate a level of proficiency in industry-standard knowledge and skills.
The program offers exams designated for three areas of expertise: the Installer Level I exam is designed for professionals with less than one year of installation experience; Advanced EST is for those with more than five years of installation experience; and Designer targets those with more than five years of design experience. CEDIA Professional Certification is a mark of distinction for industry professionals in the eyes of employers, clients and peers.
Education chairman Steven Hill says, “We continually strive to provide a high quality education programme with plenty of opportunities to get involved. We constantly review all our courses to ensure the programme meets the needs of our members and the industry and keeps them up to date with the latest developments in technology.”
