Boutique AV laid the foundation for this project, ‘Embracing Technology’ after taking the time to really get to know their clients.

This full-of-life couple was fuelled by the love of their large family and friends to create a space for all of them to come together under one roof. The clients prioritized five main entertaining spaces: the family and dining room, BBQ and deck, rumpus/bar, outdoor living, and theatre room.

Each area required its own careful attention to the AV, lighting, and climate requirements. Given the number of guests they regularly host, the clients needed a way to engage with all of them, even if they were on opposite sides of the house.

Boutique AV created a system which allowed them to share audio visual content throughout the house with the push of a button, so that the entire crowd could enjoy a funny, viral video or song request at the exact same time.

Boutique AV also made an effort to keep the noise levels at bay to avoid complaints from neighbours. One way they did this was by designing the front of the house for entertaining instead of the back due to the proximity of the adjacent houses.

The outside area received a distributed landscape audio speaker system and beautiful ambient lighting so the clients could freely entertain until the late hours of the night without the police showing up.

After the project was completed family and friends began referring to the couple as “The Jetsons,” a nickname which they fully embraced.
