CEDIA announces 2026 Smart Home Awards honourees
The 2026 CEDIA Smart Home Awards recognises three industry figures for their contributions to residential technology, AV and smart home integration.
Peter Lyngdorf has been named the recipient of the 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award. The Danish entrepreneur and audiophile founded HiFi Klubben and helped establish Steinway Lyngdorf, Lyngdorf Audio and DALI, while also co-founding Purifi.

The awards will also recognise Dave Tkachuk and Gordon van Zuiden as 2026 CEDIA Fellows.
Dave has more than four decades of experience in residential and commercial AV engineering, including 20 years as president of Tkachuk Associates and founder of Symbol Logic. He also co-chaired the CTA/CEDIA Systems Documentation Work Group responsible for the AV Architectural Drawing Symbols Standard (ANSI J-STD-710).
Gordon founded cyberManor, an early custom integration company focused on IP-based home technology. He’s also chaired the CEDIA Technology Council and served six years on CEDIA’s Board of Directors.
All three honourees will be recognised at CEDIA Smart Home Awards ceremonies held around the world.
