Brad Sousa Impact Fund opens 2026 grant applications to support AV talent and community initiatives
The AVIXA Foundation has opened applications for the 2026 Brad Sousa Impact Fund, with submissions accepted through May 25 ahead of this year’s InfoComm 2026.
Established in honour of the late Brad Sousa, former chief technology officer of Forté and a member of the AVIXA Board of Directors, the fund supports initiatives that advance audiovisual and digital transformation professionals while strengthening collaboration across industries.

The program focuses on impact investing and strategic partnerships, aiming to build stronger connections between technology, people and communities. Through this lens, the fund supports projects that help integrate digital technologies into everyday life, driving long-term social and economic outcomes.
Grants will be awarded across three key areas: Individuals pursuing educational and vocational pathways, programs that deliver measurable impact across society and culture and partnerships that strengthen the missions of associations, community groups and non-profit organisations.
Successful applicants will be announced at a dedicated ceremony on June 18 during InfoComm 2026, one of the AV industry’s leading global events.
“Each organisation transforms lives and creates career pathways for more people to join our vibrant industry. We are excited to add to this impressive list, supporting similar impact around the globe again this year,” AVIXA Foundation executive director and AVIXA chief global officer Sarah Joyce says.
