Black Box releases PoE converter

Black Box has released its new LGC215A PoE convertor which can easily convert 10/100/1000BASE-T to 1000BASE-X 802.3af/ at Ethernet.

The unit includes Link Fault Pass-Through (LFP) functionality which alerts administrators to problems with the link media and provides an efficient solution to monitor the net.

Link Loss Carry Forward (LLCF) informs of failing links. When a device connected to the convertor and the TP line lose the link, the converter’s fibre will disconnect the link of transmit.

The unit includes one RJ45 twisted-pair jack, one fibre-optic connector and has four LED indicators.
