Oceania region country manager Wai King Wong says, “We have seen demand for our products skyrocket over the last few years as IP surveillance has transformed from a nascent, raw technology to a mainstream, affordable and reliable solution.

“As a result, we have decided to expand to enable us to work more closely with our partners to provide full scale solutions across more geographical locations across Australia and New Zealand.

“A big factor in the spike in demand has been the introduction of several new products that meet the needs of a variety of market segments and verticals,” he says.

“It is always exciting to be opening new offices as it gives us a chance to connect more closely with our partners and customers.”

Earlier this year Axis Communications announced the Axis Camera Companion. ACC is software that makes IP network surveillance manageable for smaller installations and this product has also opened up Axis products to new customers across the region.

With the opening of two new offices, Axis Communications now has regional presence in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Wellington, NZ.
