AVPro Edge has launched the MXnet P-Series, a new generation of preconfigured network switches designed for large-scale MXnet 1G AV-over-IP systems.

Replacing the AVPro Edge SW24 and SW48 models, the P-Series is available in 24-port and 48-port configurations, offering high-density PoE, scalable switch stacking and increased uplink bandwidth in a 1RU rackmount form factor. The switches are intended for residential, hospitality and commercial AV installations.

The flagship 48-port model features 48 Gigabit PoE/PoE+ ports, six 25G SFP28 uplink and stacking ports, a 396Gbps switching capacity and a 740W PoE budget, with ports 41–48 supporting PoE++ up to 90W.

The switches come preconfigured for MXnet 1G systems, eliminating the need for manual network configuration while supporting features including IGMP Snooping, VLANs and Quality of Service (QoS).

“The preconfigured MXnet P-Series switches eliminate the need for complex manual configuration, saving integrators time while ensuring predictable multicast performance and smooth video switching from day one of deployment in any MXnet system,” AVPro Global chief executive Matt Murray says.

“The SW48P jumps from four 10G uplink ports to six 25G SFP28 ports, giving integrators managing larger deployments a major step up in bandwidth headroom while remaining plug-and-play out of the box.”
