AVIXA, Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) and ProSource have launched RESIDE, a new event dedicated to the residential custom integration market, which will debut alongside InfoComm 2027 and Lightapalooza.

The joint venture event has been created for residential integrators, manufacturers and service providers working across smart home, lighting, networking, control and entertainment technologies, reflecting the increasing overlap between commercial AV and residential integration.

“This partnership brings together powerful communities that need a true connection point, one place to engage with peers, manufacturers and solution providers through product demonstrations, training, education and networking,” AVIXA senior vice president – expositions, Americas, Jenn Heinold says.

“We’re seeing the same convergence in the home that we’ve experienced in commercial AV. What was once disparate technology is now a fully integrated system, and that shift is reshaping the industry.”

AVIXA chief executive David Labuskes says bringing residential-focused communities into InfoComm further expands the event’s role across the broader integrated experience industry.

“By welcoming residential-focused communities to InfoComm, the show reinforces its role as the home for integrated experience professionals, whether they work in commercial, residential or hybrid environments,” he says.
