Aveo Systems introduces Mira Connect Me for touchless AV control

Aveo Systems has introduced the Mira Connect Me, a patent-pending technology for all Mira Connect systems which allows users to quickly and securely control their AV systems from their personal smartphones, tablets and computers. It gives users the flexibility of using their own devices and prefer not to use a shared touch screen.

All Mira Connect functions are available on the users’ own devices including one-touch AV dialing, launching Zoom, Cisco and Poly video calls, selecting video sources, controlling volume, positioning cameras and more.

Mira Connect Me operates with the Mira Connect device and is configured through Mira Portal, Aveo Systems’ cloud management platform. Once enabled, a user can scan a QR code shown in the room’s device and the Mira Connect UI appears automatically in the browser of their personal device.

This means that there are no specialised applications required to use the Mira Connect Me.

“Mira Connect Me is designed to provide more flexibility for users, and to help our customers return safely to their workplaces,” Aveo Systems chief executive Craig Richardson says.

“To support our customers through these difficult times, Mira Connect Me is available to all Mira Connect users at no charge for twelve months, through May 2021, regardless of whether they have an active Mira Portal subscription.”

The range of supported manufacturers is growing and includes Zoom, Poly, Biamp, Shure, QSC, Symetrix, ClearOne, Cisco, Hall Research, Panasonic, Extron, Sharp, LG, Samsung, Bose, FSR, NEC and Sony among others.
