Audio Visual Distributors (AVD) returned to Integrate and among the several brands on display, the ClearOne solution was a hit, nailing a critical need in the hybrid working environment.

Most notably, the ClearOne conferencing and collaboration solutions are distributed by AVD including the networked audio conferencing products. As AVD director Simon Fourie said: “The ClearOne beamforming microphone solutions fit into any ceiling tile and can pick up any audio in medium-to-large meeting rooms.

“ClearOne has won several awards for its conferencing solutions and it has some very unique features including its ability to detect only human voice patterns and highlight them so it sounds like they’re sitting right next to you.”

At the show, AVD had a mock boardroom set up with all the relevant collaboration technology including a tracking camera that’s able to detect and report where a speaker’s coming from in real-time.

And Simon was happy to be back at trade shows after a few years away due to the pandemic: “The response to the show has been great, especially on the first couple of days, when everybody was here. It seemed like the whole industry came past.”

With supply chain issues affecting the AV industry (and the rest of the world), Simon said he’s confident about getting products in the hands of integrators: ‘Products are readily available, mostly from our warehouse and we do stock them. Yes, there are slightly longer wait times than in the past but it’s only a week or two.”
