ATEN International has unveiled two USB 3.0 8K DisplayPort Dual-Display KVMP switches, the CS1942DPA and CS1944DPA, expanding its portfolio of KVM and AV/IT connectivity solutions aimed at high-performance work environments.

The CS1942DPA is a two-port model, while the CS1944DPA supports four ports. Both are designed to allow users to operate multiple high-performance computers from a single dual-monitor workstation, combining ultra-high-resolution video with fast peripheral sharing. The switches target professional users, including content creators, engineers, financial analysts and hybrid office workers who require efficient multitasking across multiple systems.

The KVMP switches support resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz, delivering high frame rates, increased brightness and improved colour depth. They also support ultra-wide aspect ratios of 21:9 and 32:9, enabling broader screen real estate for data-intensive and visually complex tasks.

To further streamline workflows, the switches feature an integrated two-port USB 3.0 hub, allowing peripherals such as external storage, webcams, printers and scanners to be shared across connected computers. The hub supports data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps and is designed for plug-and-play operation in professional environments.

“In an era where ultra-high-definition content and lightning-fast data throughput are non-negotiable, these ATEN KVMP switches serve as the definitive asset to elevate your multitasking productivity,” ATEN International senior vice president Nicholas Lin says.

“By pairing 8K imagery, which is capable of presenting massive amounts of data with absolute clarity, with agile port switching and high-speed connectivity, we are enabling creators and analysts to redefine the limits of their professional output.”

The CS1942DPA and CS1944DPA offer multiple port-switching options, including pushbuttons, hotkeys, mouse control, RS-232 commands and a remote port selector. They can also be daisy-chained to control up to four computers across a quad-display setup using a single keyboard and mouse, further extending their suitability for complex, multi-system workflows.
