Crestron is providing a new twist on a simple piece of workplace and education equipment with the unveiling of Crestron AirBoard.

The product is the latest addition to the company’s presentation portfolio which allows any dry-erase whiteboard to connect to any network. Anyone with an internet connection can view whiteboard content on their laptop, table or mobile device.

AirBoard is designed to enhance student participation, employee collaboration, and secure information dissemination in real-time across multiple offices, buildings and campuses, while providing unobstructed views to local participants.

The product is simple to attach and works right out of the box with no unique interface, programming or accessories required. Local participants can see the content on room displays while remote users can see it on any personal device. AirBoard can be paired with AirMedia to add wireless presentation capabilities.

Crestron chief technical officer Fred Bargetzi says that AirBoard brings the last analogue device in a work space onto the network.

“AirBoard completes the connected classroom and smart workplace by enabling full remote collaboration and participation. We see AirBoard as the ideal enhancement to the capabilities of Crestron AirMedia 2.0 wireless presentation systems.”
